A few days ago, we reported that Greggs the Baker was opening on Granby Street in Leicester, next to the Barley Mow (which is nearing completion of their refurb).
In the article, it was predicted that the old Midland Heart would be split into six units, not the three that we saw in the photographs which accompanied the article (you can read the article by clicking here).
We can tell you that the stores are indeed being split through the middle. There has been no word as to what the other unit will be; the impression our team were given is that the unit is still available to lease. There is no news regarding jobs available at the new Greggs store on Granby Street.
What about The Barley Mow?
Near to Greggs, Granby Street, the Barley Mow is nearing completion. You’ll see the rather magnificent, egg-shell blue building with hints of darker blue throughout with gold coloured signage. It’s expected to look really great on the inside.
The Everards pub reopens on the 23rd February 2018 (that’s tomorrow!) and you’ll be able to see Nicola Lovell, a vocalist who’ll be singing “all of your favourite songs” according to The Barley Mow’s Facebook Page.
